For those who have yet to experience the beauty of Rydges Hobart, you are missing out. This hotel has an old world feeling and facade with luxurious interiors and all the comforts. The room is spacious and comfortable and gorgeous amenities. When staying at Rydges, you’ll find an abundance of incredible things to do at the hotel and at your fingertips. For us as a family it was a home away from home. There is truly nowhere like the Rydges.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rydges Hobart – it was the perfect hotel for a cozy winter getaway. The heritage charm, spacious rooms, and warm atmosphere made us feel right at home. It’s in a great location, close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely charming, which added to the overall experience. We’d definitely stay here again!

The rooms were spacious. We were upgraded to a downstairs suite which was perfect as the historic building had no lifts. It had a separate bedroom and lounge room with a small kitchenette with fridge, kettle and microwave in the hallway between them. Staff were all lovely and helpful.

Welcoming and friendly staff to greet us. It wasn't just a room more of a small apartment lovely and warm huge bathroom with twin basins water temp in shower was perfect don't know if it is pre set but it was perfect for me. Big fluffy towels. King bed was very lush and cosy. I would have liked to have explored outer builds more especially the Braille library as the whole site was originally the school for the deaf and blind back in c.1914?. Reception building is also restaurant and a bar stunning, beautiful woodwork and plaster work. Not sure how close to city centre walking or driving wise as I was not there for that. Would 100% recommend and will definitely stay here again

Great location, lovely old heritage building with lots of charm and character! The size of our room was spacious and had good cooking utilities - by means of a kettle, microwave and toaster! Lovely views of Hobart city centre!

The building was interesting and unique, in quite a lovely setting. Inside was warm, clean and interesting. Loved the period pieces and references to the former purpose of the building. Dining room was really pleasant as was the lounge/bar. Dinner and breakfast was great.

The Rydges Hobart is an older style building but the rooms feel very homey and modern at the same time. I loved the black and white retro bathroom floor tiling. The price is very affordable for what is offered here. Staff here were very approachable and kind! The location was great and about a 10 minute drive from any restaurants or sites that we wanted to visit in Hobart city. There are plenty of parking spaces.

We loved our stay at this hotel which has been renovated in this historic building. Our room in the main building was fabulous with loads of windows along both the sitting area and bedroom walls with great views out over Hobart and as far as the Bay in the distance. The room (really a suite) was very comfortable and well appointed and having the fridge, kettle, sitting area was so handy. The staff were wonderful and so patient with my many questions. There are lovely historic touches all over the main hotel building including a lovely fireside bar area. We thoroughly enjoyed out very memorable stay at this lovely place - also found it walkable to waterfront and eating area and CBD in Hobart (but then we are big walkers:)) Thank-you to all the staff for your wonderful care during our visit.

Comfortable beds, spacious clean bathroom with great shower, liked the sitting room and tasteful pictures. Great to have a microwave. Enjoyed the tasty pot pie dinner and liked the sense of history. Parking on site. Friendly staff. Quiet.

Bed was very comfortable, huge room! Breakfast in house was good Staff were super helpful. Location for us was fabulous- proximity to North Hobart sports ground and a street away from local shops. Easy on site parking. Easy to get back on the highway without having to go back through the city centre.
